The "MacOS is safe" cope has finally reached its expiration date. For years, the community peddled the idea that Tinkr was the gold standard for safety because Blizzard allegedly couldn't be bothered with the MacOS sector or because the OS was "more secure." That narrative just got shredded by a massive ban wave that's putting the future of rotation services in serious doubt.

The Graveyard is Getting Crowded
Since the Windows unlockers like Daemonic were gutted during Dragonflight, the scene has been a shell of its former self. We've seen a steady stream of providers hit the wall:
  1. Phoenix — Dead.
  2. Koexygen — Dead.
  3. HandsFree — Added to the pile.
  4. Project Sylvannas — Practically a daily manual ban factory at this point.

The "Midnight" Problem
Pixel-based bots, which were long considered the safest "legit-looking" option, are facing an existential threat. Internal chatter suggests that upcoming API changes in the Midnight expansion are designed specifically to cook platforms like GGL and Rice. Even the 2PC solutions that haven't seen a ban since inception are currently in limbo.

Investigations are currently underway to determine if rotations can even function without API access. The consensus among those actually digging into the binaries isn't exactly bullish. The current options are looking grim:
  1. AI/Screen Reading: Still struggles with basic logic and latency.
  2. DMA (Direct Memory Access): The only truly viable path forward, but the barrier to entry (hardware cost + setup complexity) makes it a non-starter for most casuals.
  3. Legit Play: Not an option for anyone in this sub.

While some are suggesting DMA is the move, it’s a heavy investment for a game where the developer is clearly ramping up their detection metrics. While others are catching bans from broken retail unlockers, the high-tier players are already looking into custom firmware for their PCIe cards to stay ahead of the next wave.

Who's already looking into DMA setups for the next expansion?
