Been seeing some movement regarding ARC Raiders bans, specifically for those running 'external' hardware setups. If you're rocking an Arduino Leonardo and Host Shield combo thinking you're invisible, it's time for a reality check.

The Situation
Reports are surfacing of 30-day bans followed by instant chain-bans on fresh Steam accounts. This isn't just a fluke; it looks like Embark is stepping up their telemetry game. If you've been grinding screenshots to train a YOLO vision model and suddenly find yourself in the ban hammer's path, you're likely leaking data somewhere in your stack.

Technical Breakdown
  1. COM Port Detection: Running an AI aimbot via standard COM ports is basically begging for a flag. Modern ACs have been scanning for active serial connections and open handles to them for ages.
  2. HWID Linkage: Keep in mind that Embark titles (like The Finals) share backend telemetry. If you caught a full ban in one, your HWID and hardware signatures are already on the 'hot' list.
  3. HID Anomalies: Using a Host Shield doesn't automatically make your mouse input 'legit'. Heuristic analysis of input timing and unusual HID stack behavior can still trigger flags even if you think you're bypassing the software layer.

If you're catching bans with a custom YOLO model setup:
- Verify your Arduino firmware. Is it properly spoofed to mimic a legitimate peripheral (Logitech/Razer) or are you using generic descriptors?
- Stop using the default COM port communication. It's the lowest hanging fruit for anti-cheats.
- HWID cleanup is mandatory. If you're getting banned within the same day on a new account, your traces (registry, files, HWID) are definitely compromised.

Embark games are notoriously aggressive when it comes to hardware signatures. If you're putting in the work to build a 150k model just to get clapped in a week, your communication method is the primary suspect.

anyone else running into COM port flags with hardware spoofers on ARC Raiders?
