Anyone else running into massive latency spikes with OBS UDP streaming lately?
I have been digging into 2pc setup performance using a delay-tester on humanbenchmark, and the numbers are just not adding up. My current Moonlight + Sunshine config averages about 40ms at 1080p/60fps. Meanwhile, my old-school OBS UDP method, even when throttled down to 720p at 85fps, is clocking in at 65ms.
Tech-wise: It makes zero sense because Moonlight has to process audio, handle input feedback, and manage a much heavier stream load. UDP streaming should theoretically skip all that overhead. We all know 128x128 pixel-reading is pretty much dead now that Riot is tracking that telemetry so aggressively.
I really do not want to drop cash on a paid OBS plugin for a "safer" low-res stream, but I definitely miss that sub-20ms latency I used to get on raw UDP.
I am curious if anyone has optimized their viewmatrix or stream settings to get those numbers back down. If anyone has a cleaner way to push raw frames to a second PC without triggering manual bans or massive input lag, drop your findings below.

- Hardware check: Are you guys still seeing success with custom capture cards or are you strictly moving to Sunshine/Moonlight?
- OBS Latency: Has anyone found a way to strip the OBS overhead without buying into those closed-source plugins being pushed on Discord?
- VGK Bypass: With the way Vanguard is sniffing processes, is the latency hit just the cost of doing business to stay UD?
