And the trip to the surface! The first time I left the metro and saw destroyed Moscow: sky covered with radioactive clouds, half-destroyed buildings, skeletons of cars — all this creates a feeling of a real apocalypse.

What really impressed me was how the game knows how to scare you. Instead of sudden jump scares — a constant feeling of danger and uncertainty. You hear some sound in the distance and freeze, listening: is it a mutant or did I just imagine it...
