In the digital Epic Games Store another weekly giveaway kicked off, and this time users can collect two gaming titles at once. From 3 to 10 July, 16:00 GMT you can grab the adventure Figment and the roguelike Backpack Hero for free in EGS. That’s a sweet chance to boost your library with solid indie projects without spending a cent. Like folks say, better claim the Epic Games Store giveaway now than cry about the missed shot later.
Figment in the free Epic Games giveaway — a journey into the depths of consciousness
Figment by Bedtime Digital Games is a one-of-a-kind action-adventure that throws you into the surreal world of the human mind. The game first launched back in 2017 and quickly earned very positive reviews thanks to its unique vibe.
The main hero Dusty together with his buddy Piper dives into the hidden corners of consciousness. Special love from the devs went to the soundtrack — bosses actually sing! It’s really fun and every boss-fight feels like a mini musical show.
Gameplay mixes simple combat, puzzles and exploration. Hand-drawn graphics with a touch of surrealism create that special mood of wandering through someone’s psyche.

New free Epic Games game “Backpack Hero” — a roguelike about inventory management
Backpack Hero brings a fresh look at the roguelike genre where the key thing is not only what you carry, but how you place it inside the backpack! The game came out in 2023 after a successful Early Access playtest on PC.
Playing as a brave little mouse you need to manage the backpack smartly, because the position of every item affects combat efficiency. The right item combos can boost the hero and secure victory over enemies.
In today’s Epic giveaway you’ll find five unique heroes with different play styles, more than 800 items, plus the option to develop your own town between dungeon runs.

What game will Epic give away next week?
Next week the Epic Games Store will roll out a giveaway of Figment 2: Creed Valley and the arcade shooter Sky Racket. The free offer starts on 10 July, 16:00 GMT, so you’ll have a chance to continue the mind-bending journey in Figment 2.
Weekly giveaways in EGS and Steam are a great way to widen the game library with quality projects. Just remember: Figment and Backpack Hero stay free and yours forever only if you add them to the library before the deal ends.
