In Standoff 2 the crosshair is not just a point on the screen, it’s your tool for accurate shooting. Even if you can aim well, an unsuitable crosshair can nullify all your skill. Therefore, it’s important to set it up for yourself.

How I made my crosshair in Standoff 2 comfortable in a couple of steps
- Took the crosshairs from the pros. Watched how top players adjust the crosshair — for example, Aboven. I personally took Rick’s preset because it seemed comfortable to me.
- Set it up for myself. Made the lines thicker so it’s easier to focus on the target, and reduced the distance between them. This helps to hit the head better.
- In close combat I shrunk the crosshair so that it doesn’t obstruct the view.
- For AWM I replaced the cross with a dot — it’s more convenient for shooting at a distance.
How to tell that the Standoff crosshair is suitable?
Go to “Shooting Range”, stand by the boxes and try to hit the bots’ heads. If after five minutes you still haven’t flipped out — then you’ve found your ideal settings.

Cross or dot? Which crosshair is the best in Standoff?
Crosshairs in Standoff 2 are divided into two types:
- Static — do not move, suitable for precise shooting.
- Dynamic — change shape when moving, can throw off aiming

This little crosshair is also called Red Dot (Red dot). To enable it, you need to uncheck the box next to “Lines”, and then just edit the size of the dot.
- Pros: minimalism. Ideal for shooting at short distances.
- Lifehack: set the dot a little above the target so as not to cover the enemy.
Headshot crosshair in Standoff

Standoff crosshair, optimized for headshots, should be small and precise to minimize visual distractions and improve aiming at the head.
- Shape: a small dot, sometimes a thin cross
- Color: white, for maximum visibility on different maps
- Size: very small, for example, 1 pixel, for high precision
Features for those who play Standoff 2 on a phone
- Size matters! On a phone, make the crosshair smaller (length 4–5), on a tablet — you can increase it.
- Color = life. Purple and turquoise are must-have for maps with contrasting backgrounds.
- Line thickness +1.25 — that’s what YouTuber Lyusic advises, and I agree with him. On a small screen, thin lines just get lost; without thickness you can’t land headshots on a small screen.
- You can download a crosshair for Standoff 2 through third-party applications, but be careful — it might be a cheat for Standoff 2.
Common mistakes that everyone makes (and me too)
- The crosshair in Standoff with too bright a color. Red is cool, but after 3 matches your eyes get tired. Switched to turquoise — life got better!
- “A thick” cross. I used to set the thickness at 10, and then I didn’t understand where I was shooting. Now I keep it 5–7 — both the enemy and the target are visible.
- Dynamics on a sniper. Seriously? If your crosshair in Standoff 2 dances with every shot — turn off this option in the settings. Trust me, static will save your K/D.

Recommended crosshair settings for Standoff 2
Parameter | Phone recs | Tablet recs | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Color | Green/teal | Green/teal | Not eye-straining, visible |
Size (length) | 4-5 | 5-7 | Doesn't block view |
Line thickness | 5-7 (+1.25) | 5-7 | Visibility on small screens |
Dynamic | Off for snipers | Off for snipers | Improves accuracy |
The crosshair is only part of success. To get better:
- Practice: “Shooting Range” and “Competitions” are your best friends.
- Adjust sensitivity: high interferes with precision.
- Move wisely: shooting on the run reduces your chance for headshots.
- Focus on heads: don’t aim at the body, always keep your crosshair slightly above.
Conclusion
There is no ideal crosshair in Standoff 2 for everyone. Start with the presets of top players — Rick, Veli, Aboven — and then adapt it for yourself. The main thing is not to be afraid to experiment and test. And don’t forget about practice, because even the best crosshair will not replace muscle memory!
